Fabric Guide

A considered guide to the textures, movement and character of Kiran’s fabrics.

Last updated: A practical guide from Kiran’s

01Natural character

Our fabrics are selected for how they feel, move and age. Small variations in weave, colour and texture are part of the character of a natural textile, rather than a flaw.

02Linen

Linen is breathable, light and naturally textured. It softens with wear and may crease gently as you move. A little pressing or steaming restores its shape while keeping its relaxed character.

03Wool and wool blends

Wool offers warmth, softness and beautiful drape. Give it room to breathe between wears and avoid hanging it in direct sun or storing it in a damp place.

04Dupattas and delicate weaves

Dupattas are finished to complement the full look and may use lighter or more delicate weaves. Handle jewellery, bags and sharp accessories with care to protect the surface.

05Colour and finish

Colours may appear slightly different across screens and in different light. To keep the original finish looking its best, follow the care guidance supplied with your piece.
